THE CHANGING FACE OF MEDICAL PRACTISE

On the 1st May 2011, Dr. Sunya took up the opportunity again of presenting the attentive Pattaya Expat members a new guest talk relating this time to the changing face of medical practise. He underlined the tactics of some of the increasing numbers of medical facilities who "rope in" doctors to rake in profits for theses institutes by e.g. ordering an expensive abdominal CT scan for a patient to rule out i.e. appendicites (in all cases). This is an unethictical conduct targeting the patient's financial resorses and not the primary goal of the patient's health. A good practitioner uses simple tools, his eyes, ears, hands and gained knowledge to then put together a practical individual treatment plan and thus to ensure for the patient's satisfaction.
